Reliability Modelling of Arrayed Electron Gun System Based on Competitive Failure Mechanism

Aiming at the problem of reliability modelling in the design phase of the core component Arrayed Electron gun system in large area electron beam selective melting additive manufacturing equipment, a reliability modelling method based on competitive failure is proposed in this paper. Firstly, a three-level structure reliability modelling evaluation block diagram suitable for the Arrayed Electron gun system is constructed through FEMA analysis, and then combined with engineering experience and Mento Carlo random sampling method Then, the life distribution model of the Arrayed Electron gun system is sampled and fitted by the electron gun distribution model. The results show that the estimated life of electron gun and Arrayed Electron gun system calculated by the proposed method are similar, which are 994 hours and 980 hours respectively. Compared with the 208 hours calculated by the traditional prediction method (series model), it is closer to the engineering practice.
