Physiological reaction of two kinds of Iris under aluminium stress

2009
By cultivating the Iris tectorum Maxim and Iris pseudacorus L.under the different contents of AlCl3·6H2O(0,5,10,15,20,25 mg/L).A hydroponic cultivation was used to study the physiological reaction of two kinds of Iris under Al3+ stress. The result showed that when processed with 10 mg/L AlCl3·6H2O,contents of chlorophyll and carotenoid and root activity of two kinds of Iris were increased extremely obviously. While with the concentration of AlCl3·6H2O being above 10 mg/L,contents of the chlorophyll and carotenoid and root activity of two kinds of Iris were gradually reduced;under stress of 5 mg/L AlCl3·6H2O,contents of soluble sugar in leaves of two kinds of Iris reduced obviously. With the continuation of AlCl3·6H2O concentrations increasing, contents of soluble sugar increased significantly.Handling with 0~25 mg/L AlCl3·6H2O,contents of MDA and free proline in leaves were gradually rising by adding up AlCl3·6H2O concentration.
