An electronic cigarette, a control circuit thereof and a control method therefor, the control circuit comprising: a heating element (20); a power supply device (10), connected with the heating element (20) and used to power the heating element (20); a first switch circuit (110), connected between the power supply device (10) and the heating element (20) to form a power supply circuit; a second switch circuit (120) and a resistance detection circuit (130), wherein the second switch circuit (120) and the resistance detection circuit (130) are connected between the power supply device (10) and the heating element (20) to form a detection circuit which is independent from the power supply circuit, and the resistance detection circuit (130) is used for detecting a resistance value of the heating element (20); and a control unit (140), connected to the first switch circuit (110) and the second switch circuit (120) respectively, and used to control one of the first switch circuit (110) and the second switch circuit (120) to be opened and the other one to be closed.
