Descripción de una nueva especie para la península ibérica: Temnothorax alfacarensis n. sp. (Hymenoptera, Formicidae)

espanolSe describen las tres castas de Temnothorax alfacarensis n. sp., a partir de material procedente de diversos puntos de Andalucia y del Sistema Central. De momento se conoce solo en la peninsula iberica. Se compara con T. santschii (Forel, 1905), T. clypeatus (Mayr, 1853), T. tuberum (Fabricius, 1775), T. mirabilis (Espadaler y Cagniant, 1996) y con T. flavispinus (Andre, 1883), con las que comparte algunos caracteres. Las caracteristicas mas distintivas son la marcada reticulacion y estriacion de cabeza y torax, pero sobre todo el peciolo rectangular y claramente truncado en el margen superior EnglishThe three castes of Temnothorax alfacarensis n. sp. are described. This is a new species for the science based on material from various parts of Andalusia and the Central System. Up to date, this species is only known from the Iberian Peninsula. It is compared with T. santschii (Forel, 1905), T. clypeatus (Mayr, 1853), T. tuberum (Fabricius, 1775), T. mirabilis (Espadaler y Cagniant, 1996) and with T. flavispinus (Andre, 1883), with which it shares some characters. The most distinctive characteristics are the marked reticulation and striation of the head and thorax, but specially the rectangular petiole, clearly truncated in the upper margin
