Dinâmicas espaciais dos grandes eventos no cotidiano da cidade: significados e impactos urbanos Spatial dynamics of mega-events in the city's quotidian: urban meanings and impacts

This article is aimed at understanding of the mega-events dispersed continuously over time in the d space of the already built urban environment of the mega-cities. The main concern is to discuss the meaning, appropriation and management of mega-events, which, with their own spatial dynamics, interfere significantly in the functioning of the city, demanding mobilizations and resources, whose tangible and intangible impacts are not properly measured. Taking the city of Sao Paulo as the focus, the intention is to show that, although dispersed in time and space, the tangible and intangible effects, centered on the supply of experiences more than on the production of new constructed spaces, add one more variable to the discussion about the concept of the value of use or value of exchange attributed to the city.
