Toxic hepatitis by interferon Beta-1a

Interferon beta-1a is one of the most commonly used drugs for the treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis. Some of the side effects of this drug are known, such as, reactions at the injection site, increase in hepatic enzymes, livedo reticularis, autoantibody positivity, and hematological or neuropsychiatric abnormalities. The authors report a case of a patient with multiple sclerosis treated with interferon beta-1a, who developed acute hepatitis
