Abstract In the present study, we investigated and compared the spatial variation in soft-bottom macrozoobenthic assemblages and associated sediments in three coastal lagoons colonized by mixed serpulid reefs of Ficopomatus enigmaticus and Hydroides dianthus, differing in extension, density, and confinement condition.
