Förstärker förändringsagenten skolans utvecklingsorganisation? : Vad anser pedagoger om agentens arbete?
2010
This study is about the role and function of change agents in pre-schools and schools. Change agents function can in a comprehensive way be described as pedagogical leaders who’s work is to stimulate and accelerate pre-schools´ and schools´ improvement efforts. In my study I am interested in how teachers perceive and experience the work of the change agent. The respondents in this study are teachers who in different ways interact with an agent.Experience has showed that is has been difficult for a single principal to respond to the expectations and pursue the kind of leadership curriculum provides guidance on. Some municipalities have invested in resources to strengthen the pedagogical leadership. The aim is to strengthen the organization development in their schools. In 2009, a three-year action research project began, between the University of Karlstad, and three Swedish municipalities, Hagfors, Jarfalla and Arjang. My study is a part of this wider investigation. I have examined how teachers in the surveyed municipalities are experiencing change agents' work. By taking part of their experiences my intension has been to explore if the municipalities investments has led to a enhanced improvement capacity among the schools. The aim of this study is therefore to examine if the teachers experience that change agents have an effect on the improvement work in schools and pre-schools.
