Epidemic situation of syphilis,gonorrhea,AIDS/HIV in Longsheng county,Guangxi in 2004—2010

Objective: To understand the situation of nearly seven years of legal infectious diseases syphilis,gonorrhea,AIDS/HIV positive cases in Longsheng county of the northern part of Guangxi and to analyze the epidemiological characteristics and to provide information for developing public health intervention.Methods: Data about syphilis,gonorrhea,AIDS/HIV positive patients were collected using Excel software for statistical analysis from 2004 to 2010.Results: This county's total population was over 170,000 and nearly seven years a total of 1146 cases of gonorrhea,syphilis,AIDS/HIV positive were reported with an incidence rate of 9.51 per 10,000 population.There were 368 cases of gonorrhea,646 cases of syphilis,35 cases of AIDS(10 cases died) and 97 HIV-positive cases(22 cases died).The disease was prone in the 15-44 age group,accounted for 68.32% of total incidence.Incidence of farmers accounted for 61.78%.The Syphilis,AIDS/HIV positive cases in recent years were gradually parallel to rise significantly.Conclusion: The syphilis,AIDS/HIV positive cases have increased,its total control task remains difficult in this county.
