Evaluating Effect of Calibration Factor for Lead Computational Model to Assess MRI RF-Induced Heating

In this case study the calibration factor of the lead electromagnetic model (LEM) was evaluated for different helix and straight lead geometries and insulator electrical properties at 128 MHz. Our results indicate that the LEM is suitable to predict the RF-induced power deposition at the lead tip if the calibration factor is measured, or simulated, for exactly the given lead, without making any simplification.
