The invention discloses a photovoltaic detection device and method. The device comprises a lamp set, a photovoltaic assembly to be detected, a sensor group, a tester group and a central controller, wherein the lamp set is mechanically connected with an enclosed test cavity and provides illumination for photovoltaic detection; the photovoltaic assembly to be detected is arranged in symmetry with the lamp set, the surface to be detected of the photovoltaic assembly to be detected is aligned with the illumination surface of the lamp set, and photovoltaic detection data is back fed; the sensor group is distributed at the sidewall of the enclosed test cavity and the inner sidewall of the lamp set to monitor and back feed sensing signals, and the sensing signals are used to indicate the output quantity of the tester group and the lamp set; the tester group is distributed at the sidewall of the enclosed test cavity and used to create a detection condition for photovoltaic detection; and the central controller adjusts the output quantity of the lamp set and/or tester group according to the sensing signals back fed by the sensor group. The photovoltaic detection device and method can be used to solve the technical problem that the aging rule prediction accuracy for a photovoltaic assembly is reduced due to the fact that aging test in the related arm aims at single environment.
