Experimental Proof of the Remote Control Effect in the Contact Synergy Mechanism in Hydrodesulfurization Catalysts

Further evidence of the remote control explaining contact synergy in MoS 2 -Co 9 S 8 hydrodesulfurization catalyst is given, using mechanical mixtures of the two sulfides, compacted at different pressures. The results indicate, as predicted, that a better contact promotes first hydrogenation, later hydrodesulfurization.
