Gynecologic infections at the Boston city hospital

1964
Abstract 1. 1. A study of gynecologic infections seen at the Boston City Hospital in 1960, 1961 and 1962 is presented. The incidence from all causes was 40 per cent. 2. 2. Of the total infections, 35 per cent were caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, 22 per cent by endoparametritis and 20 per cent by septic abortion. Urinary tract infection and abscesses account for the majority of remaining infections. 3. 3. Management of these infections is discussed.
