Proof of High Tc in 1111-Type Iron Arsenide Containing Calcium Hydride Layers

2014
Researchers have succeeded in electron doping by partial La substitution at the Ca site in CaFeAsH, which results in high Tc of approximately 47 K. This study clearly shows that high Tc superconductivity occurs in 1111-type compounds with metal hydride blocking layers, and it provides insight for designing new superconductors with higher Tc.
