Text description method and device for route result

The invention relates to a text description method and a text description device for a route result. The method comprises the following: step A, acquiring the names, directions and lengths of a first arc section and a second arc section which are connected sequentially in the route result; step B, if the name of the first arc section is the same as that of the second arc section, recording and displaying the direction of the first arc section or the second arc section and the sum of the length of the first arc section and that of the second arc section; and if the name of the first arc section is different from that of the second arc section, recording and displaying the direction and the length of the first arc section and recording and displaying the turning states from the first arc section to the second arc section and the direction and the length of the second arc section. The method and the device can dynamically give a text description result for a navigation route result and solve the problem of poor efficiency caused by statically presetting navigation information on a cross point.
