Molecular assessment of bacterial vaginosis by Lactobacillus abundance and species diversity.

Background To date, women are most often diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis (BV) using microscopy based Nugent scoring or Amsel criteria. However, the accuracy is less than optimal.
