Study on coal worker' s pneumoconiosis combined with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
2012
Objective To investigate the incidence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in coal worker' s pneumoconiosis(CWP) patients, and the effect of the CWP level, histories of coal dust-exposure,smoking and age on COPD in CWP.Compared with COPD in chronic bronchitis factor,to analyze the change of lung function and blood gas analysis of COPD in CWP before and after treatment. Methods The incidence of COPD among 220 inpatients with CWP in our hospital from August2010 to July 2011 was retrospectively analyzed.Patients in the observed group (28 cases with COPD in CWP) and control group (30 cases with COPD in else factors) were both given oxygen treatment, antiinfection, dispel phlegm and antispasm treatment. The data of lung function and blood gas were analysed before and after treatment. Results The incidence of COPD in CWP was 69.09%,which increased with the increase of CWP level, and there was significant difference between the smoking group and the non-smoking group ( P < 0.05 ).The incidence of COPD in CWP increased with age and exposure time. The increasing rate of FVC %,FEV1/FVC( % ),FEV1 % of the control group was more than that of the observed group ( P < 0.05 ).Conclusions The CWP level, histories of coal dust-exposure,smoking and age are influencing factors of the incidence rate of COPD in CWP.On the basis of effective treatment, the pulmonary ventilation and blood gas analysis improvement of COPD in CWP are not morethan that of COPD caused by chronic bronchitis.
