Cerebral toxoplasmosis is one of the most frequent opportunistic infections in HIV + patients that occurs when the individual has CD4 <100/ μL, with clinical manifestations suggestive of brain tumor, studies should be done to accuracy diagnosis, considering the neurotoxoplasmosis can be the first manifestation of AIDS and it is advisable to request ELISA, Western Blot, CD4, contrasted CT skull, MRI scan, cerebrospinal fluid or blood PCR and initiate effective anti-parasite treatment.
