A Delayed Predator-prey Model for Worm Propagation in Computer Systems

In this paper, a delayed predator-prey model for worms inside a computer system is proposed. Local stability and Hopf bifurcation of the model is analyzed by regarding the time delay as the bifurcation parameter. Sufficient conditions for local stability and occurrence of the Hopf bifurcation are obtained. Numerical simulations are presented in order to support the obtained theoretical results.
