O2-3-6ADVANCE CARE PLANNING FOR OUTPATIENT WITH GYNECOLOGIC CANCER

Abstract Background: ASCO recommended early discussions about end-of life care with advanced cancer patients. It is also important for women with gynecological cancer and their family. In Japan, patients can receive chemotherapy at outpatient clinic now, we have to discuss about end-of life care at outpatient clinic. Method: Between March 2011 to March 2013, we retrospectively reviewed medical records of outpatients who had received chemotherapy at Saga University Hospital. Result: Sixty seven patients (54%) among 125 outpatients who had received chemotherapy ware women with advanced cancer. We had discussed about end-of life with 63 patients, for 44 patients(79%) at outpatient clinic, for 58 patients(92%) with medical social worker. Median number of chemotherapy was 3(1-6), we had discussion with 42 patients (67%) at first recurrence. Twenty three patients(52%) died at palliative care hospital,13 patients(30%) died at university hospital. Median number of days from last chemotherapy to death is 126 days (19-599), 13 patients(30%) had received chemotherapy within 2 month before death. Conclusion: Advance care planning is very important for women with gynecologic cancer.
