Room-temperature electrophosphorescence from an all-organic material

2016
Abstract Materials displaying both fluorescence and phosphorescence emission in solutions and solid state at room temperature are described. The present materials comprise diphenylphosphino and bromo-substituents that cause intersystem crossing and corresponding triplet emission without the presence of heavy metals. Electroluminescence with a significant contribution of phosphorescence was observed in the experimental (Ph)OLEDs.
