A novel method for the synthesis of (Z)-α-selenyl-α,β-unsaturated ketones via acylation of (E)-α-selanylvinylstannanes

Abstract The ( E )-α-selenylvinylstannanes react with acyl halides in presence of a catalytic amount of Pd(PPh 3 ) 4 to give the corresponding ( Z )-α-selenyl-α,β-unsaturated ketones in good yield.
