Apparatus and method for synchronism play time of time shift contents and real time contents

An apparatus for synchronizing the play time of time-shifted contents with the play time of real-time contents and a method therefor are provided to perform a refine process for recorded contents to synchronize a play time point of the contents recorded through a time-shift function and a play time point of the real-time contents. A tuner/demodulator(110) tunes a broadcasting signal, demodulates the tuned digital broadcasting signal, and outputs a transport stream. A demultiplexer(130) demultiplexes the outputted transport stream as video data, audio data, and additional information, and outputs the video data, the audio data, and the additional information. A data refining unit(140) removes an unnecessary frame in the video and audio data. An HDD(Hard Disc Drive)(150) stores the video and audio data from which the unnecessary frame is removed.
