Adaptation of the sound field in a vehicle with a seat-related sound system

There will be described a vehicle comprising a front seat position in a front audio zone and having a rear seating position in a rear audio zone. The vehicle includes left and right front speakers, left and right center speaker, a left and a right seat-related front-rear speakers, and a left and a right rear seat-related rear speakers. Furthermore, the vehicle comprises a control unit which is arranged to detect a multi-channel audio signal to be reproduced spatially in front of the Audio zone and the rear audio zone. The control unit is further adapted to determine a user-specific setting indicative of a spatial distribution for the reproduction of the multi-channel audio signal in the audio zone forward and in the rear audio zone. In addition, the control unit is adapted, depending on the user-specific setting to generate loudspeaker signals for the loudspeakers of the vehicle for reproducing the multi-channel audio signal in the audio zone forward and in the rear audio zone.
