Copper, chromium and nickel in tissues of the Mediterranean seagrasses Posidonia oceanica & Cymodocea nodosa (Potamogetonaceae) from Greek coastal areas

Abstract The paper deals with Cu, Cr and Ni levels in Posidonia oceanica and Cymodocea nodosa from three sampling areas in the Aegean Sea (Eastern Mediterranean). The distribution and translocation of metals among the tissues is discussed, as well as the use of the two seagrasses as trace metals indicators.
