Schwingungsspektren und Kraftkonstanten der Hexamethyl- und Heptamethyltrisilane (SiMe3)2SiX2 und (SiMe3)2SiMeX, X = F, Cl, Br, I, OMe, Ph

Abstract Infrared and Raman vibrational spectra of the title compounds were measured and assigned. A normal coordinate analysis has been carried out. The calculated SiSi force constants are compared with the corresponding 29 Si 29 Si NMR coupling constants.
