The mechanism of fluoride-induced cell autophagy: a recent advance

Long-term exposure to fluoride can cause chronic fluorosis, and leading to damage to various tissues of the body. Recent studies have shown that fluoride can induce cell autophagy, and preliminary progress has been made in the study. Therefore, the authors reviewed the mechanism of fluoride-induced autophagy and the relationship between autophagy and apoptosis, and provide the basis for further research.
