Hydatid Disease, an Update in Colombia

Purpose of Review To review aspects of Echinococcosis and the four species identified to date. In addition, describe the multiple forms of hydatid disease and describe the classification for diagnosis of Echinococcus species. This review will assist medical providers to be familiar and able to recognize this disease from tropical areas.
