1994
Theoccurrence ofmicrographia ina 52 yearoldwomen two yearsafteran isolated episodeofpainful sensorydisturbance ledtothediagnosis ofmultiple sclerosis. Her handwriting returnedto normalaftera courseofintravenous methylprednisolone. Previous reports of movement disorders occurring in the contextofmultiple sclerosis arebriefly reviewed. Thefinding onMRI studies of an enhancinglesionin thedominant parietal whitemattersupports Kinnier Wilson's suggestion thattheanatomical origin ofmicrographia liesinthecerebralhemisphere ratherthanthecorpus striatum.
