Disseminated herpes with hepatoadrenal necrosis in an adult

Abstract A case of fatal, clinically undiagnosed, disseminated herpes simplex in a young adult without demonstrable immunologic deficiency is presented. The clinical manifestations and characteristic pathologic lesions are documented and compared to the few previously recorded cases in adults.
