Geography Undergraduate Program Essentials: Placement.

2006
Abstract Following an integrative model that shows the complex connections of recruitment, retention, and placement, this final paper in a three-part series explores the demanding endeavor of placing geography graduates into rewarding professional careers. Employment markets will continue to be robust for geography graduates, particularly for those with geospatial skills. Geography departments, however, must clearly understand employment trends from local to national levels to place their graduates. Survey data of alumni are valuable in constructing productive placement plans.
