The Mediating Effect of Instructing Effectiveness in Relationship between Expertise and Exercise Adherence of College Students in Sports for All

The purpose of this study is not only to find out the relationship among instructors" professionalism, instructing effectiveness and exercise adherence in university students, participating in sports-for-all, but also to empirically identify a mediation effect of instructing effectiveness on the relationship between instructors" professionalism and exercise adherence. For this reason, we conducted a survey of participants in sports-for-all, studying in universities, located in Gyeongsangnam-do, Daejeon, Busan and Jeollabuk-do, and 312 data were collected by convenience sampling method. Except unreliable 27 questionnaires, 285 collected data were used by SPSS 21 and AMOS 21. The study also conducted frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis , reliability analysis, correlation analysis, structure equation model analysis and bootstrap analysis. Upon investigation, our results lead to the following conclusions: At first, it showed that instructors" professionalism, perceived in university students, participating in sport-for-all, had influence on instructing effectiveness. Second, it turned out that instructors" professionalism did not affect exercise adherence. Third, it was demonstrated that instructing effectiveness influenced exercise adherence. At last, it was discovered that instructing effectiveness had a mediation effect on relationship between instructors" professionalism and exercise adherence in university students, participating in sport-for-all.
