The Analysis of Alpha Spectrum of Curium with the Presence of a Large Number of ~(241)Am and other Non-radioactive Impurity

It has been generally accepted that alpha spectrum analysis is a key process for detection of alpha decay radionuclide by isotope dilution method.The work presented in the paper focuses on exponential fitting and average counting for calculating the ratio of 242Cm to 244Cm when a large number of 241Am and other non-radioactive impurity are present.The results show that average counting is more reliable.Furthermore,the uncertainty of average counting reaches the demand of detection.
