A Modified Johnson-Cook Model for Rotating Band Considering a Wide Range of Temperature

2018
In processing, the rotating band is subject to complex loading history and its property is different from annealed copper. The flow stress of rotating band is sensitive to temperature and strain rate. There is a mutation in 673K to 773K, and most of constitutive models don't take this phenomenon into consideration. In order to reveal the low of flow behaviors of metals, lots of researchers have carried out the thermo-mechanical experiments with wide range of temperature and strain rate. This paper shows three models compared with the experimental date and summarizes their difference. For a good fit result, a piecewise function of temperature is proposed to modify the Johnson-Cook model. At last, the fitting error is well controlled.
