Aleksandrinke – zgodovinski fenomen ženskega izseljevanja

This diploma thesis is devoted to an interesting historic phenomenon of Slovenian emigration in which the leading role is played by women and girls from the south-western Slovenia region Gorizia, called Alexandrian women. The main aim of this thesis is to determine the characteristic features of female emigration from the Slovenian territory and to depict the forms of Alexandrian women in the books of contemporary Slovene writers − Marjan Tomsic, Ervin Hladnik Milharcic and Darinka Kozinc, as well as in the documentary film of a script writer and director Metod Pevec.
