근린에서의 물성에 관한 연구

The thing has multi-layers of meanings. That is same as to buildings. Buildings can be material objects or abstract space. Especially the external view which regard buildings as the materials and the internal view which regard building as space are often confronted. In the 20th century, the abstract space and its production is dominant. But it's just a choice of the relatively important view. The layers of meanings still exist. Actually, abstract space simultaneously exists as a material object. For surface of material objects can be autonomous regardless of its space, the effect and experience of materials must be considered. On the other hand, the human perception which can understand the meanings of things has changed. Quantitative increase of urban life elements surpass the human-perceptive limits. Humans are separated from the surroundings and the materiality, of things and cannot be experienced any more but only the panoramic images. But there is still some districts which preserve the small quantities of urban condition and the quality of the things. Those districts are called 'Neighborhood'. There people usually walk around, buildings are relatively small, sparse and the poor brands exist. So the value and nature of the singular matter can be experienced. Human perception here may be special. That is 'Materiality for Urban Neighborhood'.
