Design of speed adjustable experimental attrition mill

Wet comminution of ultrafine powder by attrition mill can meet needs of ceramics industry.Submicron silicon carbide powder,which has narrow particle size distribution and mean particle size D_(50)□0.6μm,can be gained by using appropriate designed attrition mill in 12 hours.The design of an experimental attrition mill used for hard materials such as silicon carbide is described in this paper.To change the volume of the tank,the stirring tank of the mill can be replaced.The speed of the main shaft of the mill change from 0-2 000 r/min.The design of overall structure,speed adjustment,electric circuit,cooling system and so on are introduced.The design are used for research and development.
