High-energy narrow-linewidth tunable source in the mid infrared

The signal and idler from a narrow-linewidth LiNbO3 optical parametric oscillator are down-converted in CdSe and GaSe to generate up to 10 mJ of continuously tunable radiation between 6 and 19 μm.
