STUDY ON NANOMETER CERAMIC POWDERS PREPARATION BY WASHING PROCESS OF CERAMIC MEMBRANE SEPARATION TECHNIQUE

2002
The washing process by using ceramic micro-filtration membrane was studied for preparation of nanometer TiO2 powders by TiClf hydrolysis. The parameters of the washing conditions, such as the operation pressure, the cross flow velocity, the slurry concentration, were examined and optimized. The suitable conditions of membrane filtration are pressure 0.1 MPa and cross flow velocity 5 ms-1, respectively. The results show that the washing process by using ceramic membrane separation is superior to the traditional frame type filter and would be the advanced technique for ultrafine powders preparation by wet-chemical method.
