Displacement of Long Footings by Dynamic Loads

A mathematical expression for the displacement of a long footing subjected to a peak trinagular force pulse is developed from theoretical considerations. The solution is presented in a manner convenient for the computation of the ultimate static shear resistance as well as the displacement under dynamic loading.
