Improvement of the UTC(NPL) Time Scale Recent Upgrades and Future Plans

NPL maintains the only realisation of UTC in the UK, known as UTC(NPL). A programme of upgrades is being carried out to the configuration of the time scale equipment and to the steering procedure in order to improve its performance and reduce the impact of equipment and software problems. This paper describes these changes, and the improvements to the stability, offset from UTC and resilience of UTC(NPL) that have already been achieved.
