Primer registro de la cotorra argentina (Myiopsitta monachus) en Baja California Sur, México.

2012
The Monk Parakeet (Myiopsitta monachus), a bird of the Psittacidae family, has its native distribution in South America and feral populations in other countries outside its original range. In Mexico, four reports described new sightings in the states of Queretaro, the metropolitan area of Mexico City, Michoacan, and Oaxaca, but up to date there has been no evidence of its presence in the northern region of the country. For the peninsula of Baja California there have not been well documented reports of its existence. In this study we report for the first time new sightings and nesting sites in the town of Guerrero
