Otrzymywanie polikrystalicznej monofazowej ceramiki YAP z proszków pochodzących z mokrej syntezy chemicznej

The subject of the research is the preparation of yttrium aluminium perovskite YAlO3 (YAP) precursor powder and its free sintering ability. In the conducted research, the influence of the application of chemical methods of precursor powder preparation on its properties, phase composition after thermal treatment and the ability to obtain dense ceramics was checked. The precursor samples were prepared by the Pechini sol-gel and co-precipitation methods and by the combustion method using fuels in the form of citric acid or tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane (HOCH2)3CNH2. After calcination of the precursors and thermal treatment at 1600 °C, it was shown that the highest sinter density and the highest phase purity were obtained for ceramics obtained from the powder obtained from combustion with TRIS fuel. The sinterability studies and the development of phase composition depending on the temperature indicate that the most favourable properties of YAP ceramics (99% YAP) are obtained by free sintering of the selected precursor powder at 1400 °C.
