INOVAÇÃO E EMPREENDEDORISMO NO SETOR EDUCACIONAL

The services sector is one of the most economically important for Brazil, however few studies had been made about it. Considering that entrepreneurship is one of the innovation boosters in the educational services sector, this study aims to identify the types of innovations that occur in the educational services sector, as well as the entrepreneur's role in the innovation process. For this, discussions are presented about innovation, innovation in the service sector and in the education sector and entrepreneurship. This work is based on a qualitative research, carried out in a city in the state of Parana, through six interviews with entrepreneurs of the educational sector. This process points out the importance of disruptive innovation for this sector, as well as the role of the entrepreneur, who starts the business, gives its directions and becomes an example of its results.
