Long chain branching of low density polyethylene
1976
Abstract Present views on the nature of the long chain branching of low density polyethylene (LDPE) are discussed. A method is examined for determining the long chain branching of polydisperse LDPE, based on sedimentation measurements and viscometry, which avoids fractionation of the polymer. It is shown that PE produced in tubular reactors under various technological conditions, has identical long chain branching characteristics.
