Sporcular farkli glisemik indeksli besinleri tuketmeleri, bir performans gelistirme yontemidir. SUMMARY The glycemic index is the degree to which a food raises the b/ood glucose /evel, Carbohydrate consumption before or dun'ng prolonged exercise can enhance endurance performance and arter exercise can enhance restoration of glycogen stores. A caroohydrate's effect on b/ood sugar is determined by its g/ycemicrespobse or the food's abiUty to conlribute glucose to the bloodstream. Ath/etes are consuming foods with different glycemic index va/ues as a technique for improving performance.
