Recording of fiber Bragg gratings with femtosecond pulses using a "point by point" technique

We report on the realization of fiber Bragg gratings with tightly focused femtosecond pulses using a non-interferometric method. For a 2.1 /spl mu/m period, 2.1 mm long grating, a reflectivity of 9.2% was measured.
