Simultaneous HCN and H 2 O laser emission in mixtures containing H, C, N, and O

Simultaneous laser emission at 337 and 118 μ has been observed in a pulsed discharge through a mixture of N 2 , O 2 , and either CH 4 or (C 2 H 5 ) 2 O. Earlier observation of a laser line at 469 μ is rejected and explained.
