Wastewater treatment method for potato starch processing plant

2014
The invention relates to a wastewater treatment method for a potato starch processing plant. Wastewater from the potato starch processing plant, especially yellow serofluid is high in starch and protein content, and is the best matrix for microorganism culture. At present, a method for treating wastewater from the potato starch processing plant by using microorganisms and producing byproducts with high additional value is not reported at home and abroad. Wastewater from the potato starch processing plant is treated by adopting the following steps of filtering the yellow serofluid, fermenting naturally, blending, sterilizing, cooling, inoculating, carrying out standing fermentation to obtain a fermented product. Byproducts with high additional value are produced, and meanwhile the wastewater from the potato starch processing plant is completely treated. The content of a nutrient solution separated by the method is about 0.96% of the total solid with the same volume; the content of COD is 0.027% of the total solid with the same volume; the content of BOD is 0.041% of the total solid with the same volume; and the wastewater completely reaches the national water discharge standard.
