Determination of Curcumin in Jiangshen Capsules by HPLC

OBJECTIVE: To determine the content of Curcumin in Jiangshen capsules by HPLC. METHODS: Kromasil-C18 column at room temperature was used with acetonitrile-8% acetic acid solution(47∶53) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1. The detection wavelength was set at 254 nm. RESULTS: Curcumin showed good linear relationship at the range of 0.256～1.152 μg(r=0.999 8). The average recovery of Curcumin was 99.48% (RSD=1.56%,n=6).CONCLUS-ION: This method is simple, rapid, accurate, reliable and applicable for the quality control of Jiangshen capsules.
